In this role you would serve as a Software and Systems Engineer supporting data acquisition, serving and research analysis of experimental systems data. This data is the result of the experimental operation of a flagship fusion device used to study the same phenomena that powers the sun and stars. Support the development of the software, systems and tools used to analyze nuclear fusion reactions and support various scientific and data archiving related activities. The successful candidate will work closely with scientific and other engineering staff to build reliable and resilient solutions for computational challenges. Maintaining these solutions is also within the scope of this role.

The successful candidate should have at least 7+ years of relevant work experience in a professional environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The successful candidate has a diversified knowledge of principles and practices in software engineering. Must be a team player with the ability to communicate ideas effectively to others with varying levels of technical skills. The candidate should also possess the ability to communicate designs through UML, presentations and be comfortable providing material for code reviews.
