Under the supervision of the Manager Facilities & Maintenance, the BAS Specialist will be responsible for Building Automation Systems (BAS) monitoring/alarm management, incident coordination, system diagnostics, programming, and system maintenance. Additional support for security and fire systems. The technician will coordinate with other groups within the Department and throughout the Laboratory to ensure long-term, safe, and efficient operation of the Siemens building automation system and end devices. Develops innovative solutions to enhance or enable controls of lab-wide systems.

Core Duties
Monitors multiple BAS for system alarms and unsatisfactory conditions. Provides initial triage and troubleshooting of issues identified from system alarms, calls, or other sources. - 75%
Review BAS status, queries and reports to identify unsatisfactory conditions, track issues to resolution.
Retrieve point trend logs and analyze for anomalies.
Follows SOPs for documentation and work order creation.
Dispatches field technicians and assists with troubleshooting.
Create programs to ensure peak operation of all electro-mechanical equipment.
Support testing, repair, and troubleshooting of Simplex fire alarm system. - 10%
Review Security and Fire System status, queries and reports to identity unsatisfactory conditions, tracks issues to resolution. - 10%
