Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior HRIS Administrator to lead the administration, optimization, and future transformation of our Human Resources Information Systems. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of employee data across the organization while preparing for and guiding us through a future HRIS system transformation.

 

The ideal candidate will have PeopleSoft experience, along with strong working knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as Oracle HCM or Workday and be capable of transitioning between legacy and modern systems with ease. This position offers a critical opportunity to shape how our organization captures, analyzes, and leverages workforce data.

 

This position will manage and maintain PPPLs HRIS, ensuring its optimal functionality and data accuracy. The individual in this role will be responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the HRIS to meet the PPPLs’ needs. Essentially, they will be the “go-to” person for all things related to the HRIS such as system administration, data management, report generation & analysis, user support, collaboration, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

Core Duties: 

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and lead administrator for the HRIS, with a current focus on PeopleSoft and a future migration to a cloud-based platform (Oracle HCM or Workday).
  • Provide day-to-day data input and administration, and support HR processes such as talent management, compensation, benefits, onboarding, training, file management, and compliance tracking through system workflows.
  • In collaboration with Princeton University, support HR system initiatives, including configuration, upgrades, testing, security administration, and system integration efforts.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and other stakeholders to assess business needs and implement efficient, scalable HRIS solutions.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy, overseeing regular audits and clean-up procedures.
  • Develop, run, and analyze reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making across HR and leadership teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system access, data inconsistencies, workflows, and reporting.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions in alignment with data security policies.
  • Drive the change management process and user training efforts during the upcoming system transformation.
  • Stay current on HR technology trends and best practices, continuously recommending improvements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HRIS administration with significant hands-on experience in PeopleSoft.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Demonstrated experience with cloud-based HRIS platforms such as Oracle HCM or Workday.
  • Experience with Cognos and data warehousing.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data flows.
  • Proficiency in generating complex reports and dashboards using reporting tools (e.g., Cognos Analytics, PeopleSoft Query, data warehouse platforms, and Tableau).
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Extensive time using a computer including use of a PC keyboard and mouse or similar data input devices is required. 

Working Conditions: 

  • Typical indoor office setting.
  • This position will have a significant need to meet face to face for collaborative conversations and discussions focused on facilitating successful and clear data analytics reporting as well as efficient running of PPPLs HRIS system.
  • On-site presence is essential to foster strong professional relationships with PPPL and Princeton University stakeholders. We’re open to flexible arrangements, allowing for occasional remote work one day a week after trust has been established and an on-boarding period has been met.
  • We are not supporting visa or relocation for this position.
