The Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory, a world-leading fusion energy research center under contract with the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE), invites applications for a Structural Engineer. Reporting to the Fabrication Group Leader, this position will provide technical support to the design, construction and inspection of wooden structures (stairs, platforms, etc), scaffolding, and the hoisting and rigging program. This position will also provide technical background for unusual structural qualifications, e.g. seismic treatment of experimental equipment.
Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering foundations, BSCE or BSME minimum, advanced degree preferred
Experience: Licensed Civil Engineer, PE preferred; at least 5 years since Master or 8 years since Bachelor.
