The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory seeks applicants for a scientist at the level of Associate Research Physicist.
Responsibilities will include modeling non-axisymmetric magnetohydrodynamic equilibria of tokamak plasmas; the development of interfaces between scientific codes for calculating equilibria and transport; and application of these codes for analysis of experimental discharges.
A Ph.D in plasma physics or related field is required. Essential skills include programming experience with C++ and Python. Familiarity with Fortran is also beneficial. Experience with magnetohydrodynamics, neoclassical transport, and tokamak edge physics is strongly preferred.
Princeton University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
